For this design, we had to take Capitol High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and divide the site into half school campus and half low-income housing units. My concept was Lion Pride, playing off the school's mascot and pride for being the first African American school in Baton Rouge. I incorporated housing with a central park, a "Lion Scratch Seating" area for students, greenhouses connecting the high school and middle school, and new sporting facilities.
